ResponsibiliTEEN

"Hindi ka pwede mag Boyfriend/ Girlfriend until you finish College." That line is a nine-word horror story for most teens.

Why would our parents hinder us to the things that makes us happy? Hindi ba nila naranasan yun nung mga teenagers ba sila? Hmmm...

I somehow figured out why parents prevent us to be in a relationship. It's not because that the joy of of love might steal our focus to our priorities (i.e studies, family) , but maybe the aftermath of it- the break up.

That's what bugging our parents' mind if ever we'll get into a relationship. They're afraid that (maybe) we're still young to handle hard things. That we'll lost your balance in your studies and get a failing grade. It's hard for our parents to see their grown-up child suffering.

But I guess, being young and in-love is part of a man's life. Who wants to live a life without love? None.

My only tip for my co-youngsters, if ever you wanted to be in a relationship, is that you guys need to show to your parents that you're mature enough to handle big things. Like cooking, cleaning your own room, running errands, cleaning your pet's turd. So in that case, they'll eventually see that you're mature enough to handle your responsibilities. Okay ;)
