I got a Pixie Cut (again)

Last February, boredom hit me. So I decided to cut my hair again into a pixie.

one last look before I say good bye to my 6 inch long hair

I had my haircut done at David's Salon in SM Manila, Ms. Eva (not sure if she's a senior hairstylist) was the one who did the haircut. What actually decided me to have this haircut is because of Rie Aliasias.

the outcome was more like Basha Eugenio from One More Chance

The outcome was pretty great. Now I just have to maintain the look by spending at least five minuted in the blower every morning hahahaha!

If you like this haircut, kindly look for Ms. Eva at David's Salon SM Manila branch. She has been my hairstylist since 2018. The haircut costs almost 450php.

Marisa Tomei in Only You (1994)

I still don't know when will I get this haircut again, pero sa susunod, I'll have this pixie haircut from Marisa Tomei's 1994 film Only You.

'til then.

Otit playlist (Playlist of the Uncles)

Hello Psychos,

Your mom is back at writing. Sorry if I haven't wrote for a long time 'cause the corporate world ate me. Also, Netflix and other stuff.

Anyhow, while smoking my Marlboro Blue. I realized that I like listening to old synthpop songs while hitting the nicotine.

So I created a playlist for my old soul readers. By the way, this isn't my uncles playlist. I just putted 'uncle' to show that these songs are almost two decade old. These are also the songs that our uncles (middle aged men) dances whenever they are drunk.

First on the list is P.S.Y's Angelina. This song was popular in the Philippines back in the 90's (as told by the boomers). I like the message of the song because it's all about reaching your dream while being young.

Sadly, the main vocalist-Yassine Dahbi has already passed away.

This italian song was also popular back in the 90's here in the Philippines. I like this more than the remix version (which was more popular than the original version). This is Due by Raf.

Would you believe that this duo was once part of the more popular new wave band New Order? Yes, they are. The Other Two's Selfish became more popular when the House Music genre entered the scene. Click this link to listen.

and the last one is The Knack's classic My Sharona. The film Reality Bites (1994) changed the way on how I listen to this music.

Happy listening :)

Being regularized

Hello Psychos,

Okay so I've been working for the past 6 months now and this November, I will be regularized. That means that I'll have my uniform and get a taste of the company benefits.

For those of you who do not know (or not updated), I am working as a Social Media Concierge/Marketing Assistant in a motel company. My work includes of daily posting 24/7 as well as answering inquiries through our social media pages with turnover time of 12-hours for weekdays and 24-hours for weekends. Promoting the brand during events through our loyalty cards is also part of my job.

Simple as my work may seem but it is not. My first months of working in this company has been really tough for me. I've had sad days but I know pain means learning.

My six months journey at this company has been really tough.  But I know it is for myself too. So cheers to regularization, self. *toasts*

Favorite Music Videos

Hi Psychos,

Howr y'all doin aye. Hehe!

Back in college we have this class called Visual Communication. It's all about appreciating different kinds of art from 2D Cartoons, paintings, 3D sculptures. It's also a pre-requisite subject for our cinema classes. There, we watched A LOT of music videos and short films and all we do is to critique and appreciate the content from our own bringing. Since then, I appreciated music videos. It's like mounting a film.

Here are the list of my favorite music videos, as per this date.

1. The Killers- Shot at the Night

I liked this MV because it's like a modern tale of "boy meets girl" in the real world.

2. Coldplay- Up & Up

Other than the aesthetics of the MV, the lyrics of the song itself is beautiful. It is best played when you're sad, feel like giving up, or just happy.

3. HAIM- Want you back

I liked the idea that they've managed to shut down the whole Ventura Blvd. in L.A just to shot this at 7 AM. The choreography and symphony of the sisters really got me dancing.
